How to register to vote abroad (in SA elections)

Any South African adult citizens living abroad can vote in South Africa’s national 2024 elections.

Get your South African ID ready (or a clear photograph of it), then click “Register to vote abroad” on this webpage, and follow the instructions. The whole process should take about 10 minutes.

The date for the elections has not yet been announced, but it will probably be between May and August 2024. The voting day for overseas voters will likely be about 10 days earlier than the regular national voting day. You’ll be able to choose between voting at South Africa house in London or voting online.
